Troubleshooting a custom domain

Waiting for DNS means the record is not visible yet. Recheck the name and where it points, then use Check connection. Changes can take a little while.

Needs attention usually means the hostname is already used, the record is wrong, or the root domain was entered instead of a subdomain such as help.yourcompany.com.

If you need to undo a public custom domain, choose Use Desk address first, then remove the custom hostname. Desk will not leave customer links pointing at a removed address.
