Creating API credentialsPro
Generate a credential for the Desk API.
Open Settings → Integrations, then Manage integrations, and create a new integration. Give it a name and choose a permission preset:
- Reader — read and search only
- Writer — create and update articles (cannot publish)
- Publisher — full access including publish and archive
Copy the credential when it appears. It starts with odsk_live_ and is only shown once. You can revoke a credential later from the same page.
API credentials are a Pro capability.
